Here's The Official Press Release from Our Washington Nationals concerning the sale of Single Game Tickets--beginning on March 4th, 2008--followed by the 2008 Promotional Giveaway Schedule. Just passing the information along--as provided.

The Washington Nationals today announced that individual ticket sales for Opening Night on March 30 vs. the Atlanta Braves, and individual tickets sales for the remainder of the regular season begin on Tuesday, March 4 at 9:00 a.m. Individual ticket prices range from $5 - $325. (Five dollar tickets are available on day of game only for purchase at the Box Office). The Washington Nationals will offer premium-priced games for 15 contests during the season and Opening Night. The 15 games include every Saturday game and the April 25-27 series vs. the Chicago Cubs. Buyers may purchase tickets for no more than 19 games; and only 12 tickets per game may be purchased via telephone by calling 888-632-NATS (6287) or by visiting nationals.com.

The Nationals will also offer discounted tickets to special groups throughout the season. For all non-premium, non-holiday games held Monday through Thursday, senior citizens, government employees, active members of the military and college students will receive a $3 discount off any ticket priced at $10 or more, based upon availability. Fans must purchase such tickets on the day of the game they wish to attend at the Nationals Park Box Office with the appropriate ID. Transactions are limited to one (1) ticket per person.

In addition, fans will receive special ticket discounts from Harris Teeter as well as from The Washington Post. These offers will be available at the Nationals Park Box Office on “Harris Teeter Tuesdays” and on “The Washington Post Wednesdays”. The Nationals will also have a "Family Fun Pack" offer for all non-premium Sunday home games. The "Family Fun Pack" includes game tickets, hot dogs, drinks and chips at a discounted rate. More information on these special discounts will soon be available on nationals.com.

The Nationals Park Box Office, located at 1500 South Capitol Street, S.E., will NOT be open until March 30th at 10:00 a.m. After March 30th, Nationals Box Office hours will be Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on non-game days. For all day games the Box Office will open at 9:00 a.m. and at 10:00 a.m. for all evening games.

When folks get the email from the Nationals letting them know when they can buy single game tickets including opening day, can you please post that you received it? My season ticket representative assures me that I will get the email, but in the past, their communication has been spotty... I had to call them to get my 20 game plan assignment the night before they were available to the public (i.e. no deposit)...I never heard from them.

Eric: At one time I had a similar problem receiving emails for Season Ticket Holders--you might want to leave a comment at the season ticket holder email: stcomments@nationals.com and explain that you are not receiving emails from the team. When I had this problem before, an I.T. Person from The Nationals contacted me and everything has been fine since.

In the meantime, when the team sends out information about Single Game Purchases for Season Ticket Holders--I will let you know.

But, the information provided for this post--comes from the team's Official Release--it was not sent to Ticket Holders--just so you know.

Thanks SBF! I'll do that.

Interesting. When I've been in club seats in other stadiums, there's been in seat wait service. I only see references here to the President's and Diamond club seats having that service.

Not in the Stars and Stripes club?

Screech's Best Friend said...

Jim h--I checked with The Nationals and was told that Stars & Stripes Club DOES NOT have "In Seat" Waiter Service.

If the Stars & Stripes club level is sold out why would they publish single game prices for the club level?

Screech's Best Friend said...

theduude: The same holds true for some other sold out sections, but what they are doing is establishing a Price Level--for all seats--to cover whatever situation my rise--in years down the line. its a Business Sense move.

Oh boy...I'm going to be on the phone early that morning to make sure I get some 3/30 tickets.

Also, kind of lackluster promotions, particularly on opening night...a lanyard? Bah.

And only one bobblehead all season? Bah.

An Briosca Mor said...

Two bobbleheads. Dmitri Young on Thursday 5/1 and Ryan Zimmerman on Thursday 6/5.

saw screech's best friend on tv this morning, found your site, and saw there is a promotional announcement about negro leagues day--may 3rd, and my gallery has (for this weekend, but through may 30th) a show of original art by an artist who created the first ever baseball cards for many of the negro league players (esp. homestead grays guys like ray brown, jud wilson, josh gibson, and willie wells) in 1990, they are watercolors and the show opens at ArtInsights in Reston Town Center on Saturday (the 29th of March) maybe some of your diehard friend/fans of Washington might want to come out. (www.artinsights.com has info) i've been going into washington and finding fans who used to go to grays games in the 40s when they played at griffin stadium.

so, love to see you at the gallery, (2-5 sat is the opening-but the show continues) and have an amazing time and fun at the new park on Sunday!
