The Postscript from Saturday Night

At least one other person in the DC Area wishes he was apart of this past Saturday Night's Dramatic 7-3 Grand Slam WalkOff Win by Ryan Zimmerman. Dan Steinberg from the Washington Post SportsBog enjoyed my post so much--he was kind enough to feature me today (Thanks to MsZimmy for the Heads UP). Proud I am, to know that The Mainstream Media considers me "DURANGED". Never could I come up with a better adjective. Sometimes, I think The African Queen would agree.

Anyway--during those nearly 4 hours of Rain Delays, I had taken a few pictures to add to my game story. But, due to the lateness and time of Sunday Morning, I did not have the chance to add them. So, as a postscript to Saturday's enjoyable night--here they are.

As this past Saturday Night's Game moved deeper and deeper into the night, the crowd dwindled minute by minute. In Section 320, as always, we stayed, having a good time, chatting and making fun. There is alot of things to do during rain delays. Especially when there are not alot of folks around.

As 10PM neared, All Alcohol Sales within the ballpark must end, its the law. So, SeyHeyKlib decided to guzzle a few down, to load up for long term. He needed it.

Of course, SeyHey was joined by Curly "W" the BIGGEST PARTY ANIMAL Nats Fan in existence. This Rally Monkey never wants to be left out of the fun.

Curly "W" is the Surrogate "Son" of Colleen and Jeff. Notice the Diamond Club Access Bands wrapped around his legs. This little guy gets around. And, is always featured on the JUMBO Video Board in right field during games.

Then, as Saturday Night moved into Sunday Morning, Screech came by to SMOOCH THE AFRICAN QUEEN, and DANCE!!!

The sight of MickNats stepping to the beat, a SIGHT TO BEHOLD. Not to be forgotten for some time.

My Favorite RFK USHER--BORIS, hung with us all night.

And, finally, just moments after Ryan Zimmerman's Dramatic Grand Slam--Ryan Church's Parents--Karen & Gary stopped Sohna and I to meet us.

As it was that last Fabulous September 29th night, This May 12th was a GREAT MORNING--On Saturday Night!!

For three glorious games against a weak-pitching staffed Marlins, the Nats managed to put together 6-7-6 run games, not pretty, but 19 actual runs: the road trip just now could have used every single "extra one" for sure.

Mitchell Paige, presumably, could not "pick his spots" as he was quoted telling Demitri Young to do, for a glass of wine or beer. Too many spots - not enough wine, we surmise...His replacement, perhaps through pure happenstance, Mr. Pinch-Hit Harris, has got the boys hitting...

Now comes the Acid Test: the Braves with Smoltz and Hudson for Monday and Tuesday. Go Jason - Go Jerome; and go small ball, y'all. Look the ball into your glove; cover and back-up the play; communicate before the pitch. Keystone Cops play like they got away with on Mother's Day shall not enable the men to prevail over the Crackers, certainly...

Trust in Kasten. All Good.
