Metro Plans For Opening Night

Metro has released a special PDF File containing additional information on how they will handle both Opening Night for Our Washington Nationals on March 30th--and The Papal Visit on April 17th at New Nationals Park.

Thanks to JD who first reported the info. She is always on top of everything surrounding New Nationals Park. So, I just wanted to pass along the information.

Thanks for the information! I sent that .pdf file to the pastor of my parish. It will be a big help to him in informing the parishioners selected by lottery to attend the papal Mass how to get to Nationals Park by Metro that day.

Hi SBF-can you do me and other fans who didnt get tix to Opening Night a big favor and find out if the $5 walk up day-of-game only grandstand tickets are going to be available for the home opener? I'd consider camping out if that was the case. Thanks!

If this were an afternoon game on Sunday, I might be trying as hard as others to attend this game. But I have to wake up at 4:30 AM in the morning to go to work, and I don't feel like taking Monday off just to sleep in. For me, I'm letting the exhibition game be my "Opening Night."

Anon at 3:00,

The Nats and (I believe) WaPo reported that there will be a limited number of $5 seats available for opening night. I think the number they have tossed around is 400 seats, but I could be mistaken in that regard.

There has been PLENTY of talk already about camping out, so if you plan to do so, start your camping trip as early as feasible.
