Beginning in 2005, The African Queen and I enjoyed Section 320 at RFK Stadium. Our Washington Nationals and the Nats320 Blog came to life for us there. Since 2008-we've sat in Section 218 at Nationals Park, but our blog name has not changed. Our roots are in Nats320-and we will never forget those good times. But, as always, we will attempt to provide fun, information and commentary about Our Washington Nationals. All photos, unless otherwise attributed-COPYRIGHT Nats320--ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

Typical Pitchers & Catchers
Just to give everyone an idea of what goes on early in Spring Training before the first full squad workout, here is a short video of Nationals Pitchers In Camp--Tim Wood, Todd Coffey, Matt Chico and Josh Wilkie--throwing to various bullpen catchers on the practice mounds near Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida.
Is it exciting? No, not exactly. But it's interesting and worth watching the 10 minute sessions--closely monitored by Pitching Coach Steve McCatty and Our GM Mike Rizzo (in one of the Golf Carts behind the catchers in the picture above). Early in Spring Training, groups of hurlers throw every other day, not at full strength nor anywhere near game speed. The object is to take the entire six weeks before Opening Day to prepare. Under no circumstances is anyone to be ready until just before that first official game.
