Stan Kasten's Thoughts On The Imperfect Game
Before yesterday's game at Nationals Park, Sohna asked Team President Stan Kasten his thoughts about what, if anything, could be done to correct the Armando Galarraga Imperfect Game of June 2nd. Mr. Kasten's response was quite funny:
"I had the same thoughts just 24 hours earlier (after Houston's Lance Berkman's checked swing was not ruled a strikeout with two outs in the bottom of the 9th and Berkman singled on the very next pitch to win the game against Washington)."
"I think we should make a rule that would cover the circumstance. We should make a rule that the other team is not allowed to score runs after the game is over. Seems very simple to me." (chuckling)
