The chills started on Friday night at Nationals Park, the fever soon followed. Eventually came the headache, the sore throat and the stuffed up ears. Sohna didn't seem to get hit with the flu as bad as I did but it has left both of us in a debilitated stat. Personally, I haven't felt this bad since getting sick covering the civil war in The Sudan back in 1995.
With our bodies telling us to shut things down for a bit, The African Queen and I are resting and recovering, not posting stories right now. We've got to get our health back first. We did effort to make the games and The Washington Nationals Dream Foundation Gala over the weekend and will have some coverage when we are back up and running.
But in the meantime, Sohna and I just wanted to let everyone know we are seriously under the weather right now.
Jeff, Hope you two feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteWe moved from our seats to the sun, after sitting inside for a while. I was frozen. That nice breeze and lack of sun, that is usually a blessing in our great seats was a curse yesterday!!
See you soon.
Laurie
So am I. I couldn't make it to the game yesterday and I am staying home from work today. Hope that we all get better real soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you two are sick. You are truly loyal to have attended the gala AND yesterday's game. We ducked inside for a break from the cold wind yesterday and to locate the guy with the hot chocolate backpack. It was great when the sun finally made it to our section and to see another win! Get well soon!
