Between coverage of The Global Financial Crisis, The Presidential Campaigns and Two Debates, there has been very little time to stay on top of Baseball involving Our Washington Nationals. Fortunately, with The 2008 Playoffs going on, there is not a whole lot going on concerning DC Baseball anyway. We should be back soon, just not enough time in the day right now. Hope all is well with you.
You should at least let us know if the shoe phone functions and whether Agent 99 stays out of the line of fire of Phillies fans.

We all need a little break anyway. It will be tough suffering through the World Series if the Dodgers can't get rid of the Phillies quickly. It has to be a Dodgers v. Rays World Series to make watching tolerable!

ReplyDeleteDodgers vs Red Sox. I want to see Manny being Manny in Fenway once again. If nothing else, it would be most entertaining. Would he dare take a leak inside the Green Monster as a visiting player?

I'm in the minority, but I believe the Phillies are the lesser of two evils and I will be rooting for them to beat the Dodgers. The Phils have stayed put in the same city where they were born for a century and a quarter. They also do not have a star player who deliberately played badly to force his team to trade him in the middle of a pennant race.
ReplyDeleteDodgers fans had better enjoy Manny while they can. I have a very strong feeling that next year he will be in pinstripes.
I wish I could root for the Rays to win the ALCS, but they were in first place for most of the year, and the people of the Tampa Bay area STILL wouldn't come to the ballpark! As late as mid-September when the Rays were clinching a playoff berth, less than 20,000 fans were attending Tropicana Field per night.
ReplyDeleteKnow how the media ripped the Nats attendance at Nationals Park this year, ignoring how we drew more fans than the Orioles? Well, even the last-place Orioles drew more fans than the first-plays Rays.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it wouldn't suprise me if there were more Red Sox fans in attendance at Game 1 than Rays fans, and many of those Sox fans will be people who actually live in the area...
