Beginning in 2005, The African Queen and I enjoyed Section 320 at RFK Stadium. Our Washington Nationals and the Nats320 Blog came to life for us there. Since 2008-we've sat in Section 218 at Nationals Park, but our blog name has not changed. Our roots are in Nats320-and we will never forget those good times. But, as always, we will attempt to provide fun, information and commentary about Our Washington Nationals. All photos, unless otherwise attributed-COPYRIGHT Nats320--ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

$5 Grandstand Update
Our Washington Nationals have informed me there are only APPROXIMATELY 400 $5 Grandstand Seats available on Sunday Night--March 30th. Just wanted to pass this fresh information along.
Now--The Sight alone of "MUSICAL CHAIRS" playing out by fans to time the 3PM Line Up--could be, very, very interesting.
Good Luck!!??
Is that any different from usual? Does this mean they sold some already? Put the press passes to good use SBF!
ReplyDeleteWhat time can I go to buy the $5 grandstand tikets?
ReplyDeleteYou can begin to stand in line at The Main Nationals Ticket Office at the corner of Half & N Streets, SE at 3PM on Sunday. The Tickets go on sale at 3:30pm--one per customer
ReplyDeleteThe press release says no camping on Nationals Park grounds, but it doesn't say you can't camp on city or private property just outside Nationals Park grounds, does it? There could be troops massed at the border at 3:00 on Sunday. How many Nats employees or cops will be there in the hours beforehand to keep them all in line? Or will they be self-policing like the lines for other such events? As SBF says, it could be very entertaining!
ReplyDeleteIts, great that all of these local restarants are in the new ballpark and the merchandise will be the same EXCEPT for the fact that most FMI employees will be watching opening night from a television someplace, not wanted by Centerplate, phone calls not returned by Centerplate in most cases.
ReplyDeleteI know one thing.I was in upper management for FMI for three years and cherished every moment down at the ballpark, every moment of the off-season running your team stores and just talking baseball and inter-acting with the fans.
INSTEAD,Centerplate sub-contracted the stands out and did not bother to tell anybody who ran the lower level merchandise stands for FMI.Sorry, been three years, every day with Nationals..lout of jobs..don't call us,we'll call you.
As for the person who is overseeing the three teams stores, this person worked for Aramark at Verizon Center..for less than six months..fired for among other things rudeness to season ticket holders.I thought we were trying to get rid of the stench of Aramark? The person who hired this guy was the retail manager at Verizon Center and burned out..what's this guy going to dowith the added walking and the added crowd down at Nationals Park?
I know one thing.I busted my ass and hopefully earned your respect during the inaugural three yaers at RFK and it's not fair what Centerplate is doing.
So support the little guy..we are just like ushers too..we deserve to be brought back by Centerplate.
We were at the Park last night, and the home dugout IS painted now, very nicely too. They were painting the Opening Week signs n the grass, and a big white curly W. Vendors were practicing cooking and stocking up, things look much farther along than Saturday
ReplyDeleteWe loved you guys in the merchandise stands at RFK, always had a smile for returning fans, always contributed to making it a good experience.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a lot of the same people that were hired by aramark are now with centerplate food part at least, what's going on?
You guys looked great on Fox 5 this morning!
ReplyDeletecheck out the link to a Post article that states "Metro is crumbling"
ReplyDeleteAnyone have doubts about Metro's performance on OD and beyond? I know I do. Stan the Plan how about you?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/26/AR2008032602879.html?hpid=topnews
I take the Metro to work everyday to downtown DC on the Green Line from Greenbelt. While there are occasional problems, it is very rare that I get to work late. Quit the Cassandra routine. There may be some initial glitches getting to and from the ballpark via Metro, but I am getting pretty tired of all of the doom and gloom about the public transit system here in DC. I lived here before there was a subway with a much smaller commuting population and that was no picnic. The Metro system is getting old and it is about time that there is dedicated funding by all of the governmental jurisdictions to keep up with the maintenance of the system -- but that's another story.
ReplyDeleteMetro is quite simply the finest public transportation system in the country. Let's stop acting so spoiled...
ReplyDeleteI currently live in Atlanta, and it's almost laughable how bad yet underutilized MARTA is (it's bad but NOBODY uses it except to get to the airport). And if you think getting to the Nats stadium is bad, try coming to Turner Field.
