National Baseball Hall of Fame Photo Essay

Just for fun--Sohna and I wanted to post up some of our photos from our recent visit to The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. There will be little commentary, but if you click on some of the pictures--they will expand to full size jpegs. At that point--you will be able to read a few descriptions in many of the display cases. Hopefully, this essay will encourage you to visit The Hall for the first time--or make a return journey. THE HALL OF FAME IS SO MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.

First Up: Exterior Overview--including Statues located in the East Pavilion (Satchel Paige, Dottie Schroeder, Johnny Podres & Roy Campanella).

Moving Inside--The Main Entrance

The "Holy Cow"--in Phil Rizzuto's Honor and 2007 Induction Cases of Cal Ripken, Jr & Tony Gwynn.

The Frank & Peggy Steele Art Gallery (The Art of Baseball)

The Broadcasters/Baseball Writers/Press Wing of The Hall of Fame

Baseball At The Movies

The Kids Area & Award Winning Photos

And of course--Those Honored in The Baseball Hall Of Fame Gallery with their Plaques.

So--That's just the EXTERIORS & FIRST FLOOR. Tommorrow--on to The Second Floor
