New Gamer Field Jacket

Last month, Team President Stan Kasten told me there would be only a few minor changes to the 2008 Official Uniform and Gear Assortment for Our Washington Nationals. A change to the Batting Practice Cap and Jersey, along with a Special New Nationals Park Patch to be worn on all Game Jerseys. His only other noted difference, for 2008, was the In Game Worn Fleece Jacket--now available at nationals.com

A slight difference, in style, from the original worn the first three years of Nationals baseball. Toned down Gold Trim, A Curly "W" on the left upper sleeve, instead of the "DC" lettering down near the left wrist on the first version. And, less blue additions all around the Red Home Jacket. At least in these pictures, a lighter shade of blue is shown, as well. Now--just three blue stripes that encircle both sleeves at the elbows and the neck cuff.

The Description for the 2008 Model says this new jacket is not only WATERPROOF, but has moisture wicking technology to keep wetness and perspiration away from your body.

Not an overall big difference. Being use to the Original Version--I still like its styling better. A little more pizazz, at least to me. The Performance of the new version most likely better though. Of course--the gold trim has been an addition which I personally enjoy. Although, others have tended not to like the gold.
