All I can say is Livo is SIX and ONE, SIX and ONE folks. We could have had Livo and for sure he would be hitting above the Mendoza line (unlike many of our current Nats). Biggest missed FA opportunity Bowden has made IMHO. The Nats needed Livo to anchor their rotation. So now Livo produces for the Twinkies and we wonder who our fifth starter will be. A monumental mistake letting him slip by. Livo should have thrown out the first pitch in Nats Stadium this year.

Cheers,
SamSam Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03893689566777764166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-91293759240580453362008-05-13T19:14:00.000-04:002008-05-13T19:14:00.000-04:00SBF-Your ability to get inside interviews is amazi...SBF-

Your ability to get inside interviews is amazing. If we hadn't imploded in '05, his book would've been the next Disney movie a la "Invincible" and "The Rookie."

Apropos of nothing.

http://www.cafepress.com/softballgirls

SBF, please take down if you think it's inappropriate.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-46136389777844491222008-05-13T16:46:00.000-04:002008-05-13T16:46:00.000-04:00He is a talented writer and I think he has written...He is a talented writer and I think he has written balanced pieces game in and game out which more often than not have the right angle and the right sense of the rhythm of that game and the rhythm of the team in that span.

He is very proud of being objective - not a homer, but rest assured that the Post is not looking for a beat writer who promotes the Nationals. We Nats fans need t-shirts printed now, well in advance of the team's ascendency, saying "I Was a Nats' Fan Before Being a Nats' Fan Was Cool."
As for last evening's big 10-4 win, nice to see Agent Triple Zero (my nickname for Elijah Dukes) putting a little NBA-styled jazz on the Mets and their super-sensitive opera diva pitcher, eh? If he keeps it up, though, I am fearful that he may be ordered to pick-up the trash blowing around Shea by his probation officer...Still, nice to see a bit of life among those like Austin Kearns who resemble Dead Men Playing. This team is so lifeless that the beat writers are actually asking for CWS styled blow-up dolls to interview in the clubhouse.

Trust in the journalistic leanings of John Feinstein...All good.SenatorNathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10049860385485455410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-57135694108774689052008-05-13T16:31:00.000-04:002008-05-13T16:31:00.000-04:00Great stuff. How the '05 team adjusted from playing in Montreal where there was no interest to Washington where there are 200 or more Nat's Journal hits per day, 5 or more Nat's blogs, and two major newspapers, and a host of radio stations covering the team. From the "Land of Misfit Toys", to the Most Powerful City in the World - and one of the orginal Major League Towns.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
