You do want to see that history. A National's win, while rare these days, will have little meaning compared to seeing a 300 game won by a future HOFer. My question is which ticket will be the keepsake the proof you were there to see 300? The 4 June 7:05PM ticket or the 3 June 7:05PM rain out ticket, or did they actually print 4:35pm tickets if you walked up and bought one?

Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

SamSam Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03893689566777764166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-74918562132840681402009-06-05T08:58:00.235-04:002009-06-05T08:58:00.235-04:00Classy move for "Ladies Night" to have a...Classy move for "Ladies Night" to have a mechanical bull ride. Keep telling yourself that and spread the negativity.

The Nats can't control the weather and the fact the game was rescheduled in an afternoon start time with a forecast of 90% chance of rain were the reasons the actual attendence was low.

Washington is like most towns, win and they will come.

For the true fanbase, we understand. This was again another building year. All the publications picked the Nats to be last in the NL East. I am not surprised by any of this and the season has a long way to go.

The Lerners did follow thru with all their off-season promises. They went after Teixeira and didn't get him although being the high bid. They went after Dunn which fulfilled the big LH HR guy. They signed Zim to a long-term contract. The 2 main off-season goals were accomplished. Then during the season, they sent down Milledge, ate DCab's $2.6 million salary and got rid of Cintron too.

The Tampa Bay Rays (Devil Rays) were horrific for almost 10 full years and then got to the World Series.

For this fan, I need to see promises fulfilled and the ongoing effort towards building a winner. I don't expect it will happen overnight. I hate being surrounded by this constant whining of "The Lerners need to act soon to fix this. I am not even speaking about the abysmal quality of the team. I am speaking about how badly fans have been treated and the quality of experience at the park."Andrewnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-70108620936682038122009-06-05T07:38:24.663-04:002009-06-05T07:38:24.663-04:00The umpires in MLB are really not distinguishing t...The umpires in MLB are really not distinguishing themselves. The franchise is being run like a bad rookie league team. The Lerners need to get some competent help from major league professionals. I am surprised that MLB has not stepped in to help. It is embarrassing to watch a game with this much historical importance have such poor attendance. Jim Rome was commenting this morning about the minor league team in Washington and wondering why it is still there. The Lerners need to act soon to fix this.
