This is fast becoming a season in which warm bodies to put in Nationals uniforms will be as treasured as $3. per gallon gasoline.

Can the ortho guy in Cincinnati recommend rest and rehabilitation for the entire team, enabling MLB to declare "Entity Disabled List" status for our beloved, beleagured Nats? Get it? B-LEAGUERS!!

They're gonna put me in the movies; they're gonna make a BIG star out of m; they're gonna put me in the movies; and all I gotta do is - ACTA naturally..."

Trust in a summer focused on Redskins third-string defensive end acquisions. All Too Much.SenatorNathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10049860385485455410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28676208.post-51093340140069606082008-06-12T11:41:00.000-04:002008-06-12T11:41:00.000-04:00This is a lovely feature on a very lovely person. ...This is a lovely feature on a very lovely person. I am sure that Nats fans and friends wish her and her great example and cause continued success. I think that Kasten, Acta, and many among the Nats front office and some players do understand that this team is a family affair for the citizens of the D.C. area - that the franchise transcends pure Return on Investment, "merely winning," or (perhaps the most supercilious comment in Boswell's column yesterday) - "spending $10 million on free agents JUST TO PLEASE THE FANS."

It is a matter of building trust, affinity, loyalty, friendship, love: it is ALL about "just" pleasing the fans, if you are the owners and trustees; and, in return, the fans will give you the time and the support you require to succeed. They will actually take you into their thoughts, dreams, prayers, as corny or contrived as this may sound. Recall the feelings we shared when we saw Frank take that white bucket of balls out from the dugout in June of 2005, and start casually tossing them to the kids rimming the dugout after one of those "Bang-Zoom" wins in what is really a dreamy memory of the first place Nationals...You had to pinch yourself - "10 in a row!" {Was this JUST TO PLEASE THE FANS?}

This team is perilously close to dissembling in a way which could take years from which to recover and build - some bread MUST be cast upon the water NOW. Should several among the few current MLBallplayers left - Boone, Guzman, Young, Belliard, Milledge -be injured (and it can happen, believe it or not), there is no telling how morbid the tale of 2008may be. As it is, the team will play Seattle for the honor of achieving second worst team in the majors status by the end of the weekend. Unless the Royals tank...

Trust in the power of a wonderful person's courage and grace. All Great.SenatorNathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10049860385485455410noreply@blogger.com
