Ticket Discounts & New Promotions

One of the best walk up deals during the first three seasons of Baseball's Return to Washington--was the Military and Government Employee Discount at RFK Stadium. That tradition is continuing as Our Washington Nationals announced today a $3 discount on all Monday through Thursday Games at New Nationals Park (non holiday, non premium games). Senior Citizens, Government Employees, Active Military Members and College Students, with proper identification, can deduct that amount from all seats ranging in price from $10 and up. PNC Diamond Seats and Centerfield Lounge--do not qualify under this deal.

$7 to see a Major League Baseball Game is pretty good deal. A better price than attending a Movie. You are outdoors--where the weather is usually nice. How can you beat that in a day of approaching $4 per gallon gasoline? Think about it. $7 to get in the stadium, $7--tops--to get there on Metro. That's not awful--in anyone's league to watch Major League Baseball. I can't tell you the number of our friends that took advantage of this deal from 2005 at RFK Stadium.

Also announced--a few additional promotions. On Opening Night--a "Welcome Home" Rally Towel will be given to all Fans. And two Kids Promos are coming. A Kids Baseball Glove will be handed out on Sunday June 22nd (against The Giants) and a Kids Nats Jersey on June 22nd against Texas (any chance The Petite African Queen might qualify?--just kidding) Both giveaways to children limited to the first 10,000 that show up.

Here's the complete press release--including Harris Teeter Tuesdays and Sunday Family Packs:

Those sound good. It would be nice if they continue the "Kids Run the Bases" after Sunday home games like they did at RFK.

Anonymous--Kids Run The Bases was so popular--I can't imagine under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE--that program not continuing.
